Massoud Setayeshi made the remarks at his weekly press conference in Tehran this morning.
Marking the National [University] Student Day on December 7, the spokesman said the day recalls anti-arrogance moves and the university students’ resistance against the aggressive United States regime.
Launching coups over and over, causing unrest in order to make the governments dependent, and encouraging others to deny justice under the shadow of human rights, freedom and democracy is the US method, he underlined.
About the recent unrest in the country, the spokesman announced the freedom of 1,200 people who had recently been arrested.
Meanwhile, such freedom does not mean negligence of measures of some vandals, he added.
Setayeshi further expressed sympathy over the death of 200 Iranians who as he underlined lost their lives as a result of provocative measures taken by some foreigners and their media.
The Judiciary emphasizes the difference between protestors and rioters.
